Clinic Policies

Appointments

In order to provide the highest quality care and customer service, we encourage appointments for exams and all surgeries to allow the necessary time with each individual patient. Walk-ins are accepted but must be flexible enough to be added into available time slots. From time to time, an emergency situation may arise that interrupts scheduled appointments. Our staff will make every effort to safely accommodate all patients.

For your convenience, we also offer drop-off appointments in the morning between 8:00 AM and 10:00 AM, and pets may be picked up later in the day. Our staff will call you when your pet’s service is complete and review any necessary diagnostics or treatment.

If you need to change or cancel your appointment, please contact our office at (803) 790-7297 (PAWS) as soon as possible.

Patient Safety

For the protection of patients and client, all pets entering the clinic must be restrained by a leash or in a carrier.

Payment

Full payment is due when services are rendered. For your convenience, we accept cash, check, debit cards, Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express.

Prescriptions

For the convenience of our clients, we have an on-site pharmacy offering a wide range of prescription medicines, herbal medicines, and flea/tick/heartworm preventive medicines. We also use VetSource for online prescriptions. If you wish to purchase medications from an alternative source, we can provide a written prescription during a scheduled office visit. We do not accept faxed or telephone prescription requests. An annual examination and appropriate testing is required by law to provide any medication. If you have questions about this policy, we will be happy to provide you more information.
