Helping your pets enjoy longer, happier, and healthier lives.

COVID19 Updates

Four Paws Animal Clinic is taking practical measures to ensure the health and safety of our staff, clients and community. We are diligently monitoring the COVID19 situation and are closely watching official information as it relates to our community. Unless dictated by health authorities, and if our staff remains healthy, the clinic will remain open and we will continue to see patients as usual. The ramifications of closure of any medical care provider may seem unsettling, but we will not risk the health and safety of our clients, staff members, their families and our community.

Commitment in practicing preventative measures, including excellent personal hygiene, is the best way to prevent the spread of communicable disease and illnesses. Our staff members are monitoring themselves and their family members for signs and symptoms of illness and will stay home as necessary to prevent spreading illnesses to others.

If you are experiencing any symptoms associated with COVID19 (coughing, fever, sore throat, or respiratory distress), if a household member or someone you have had close contact with is ill, or if you have traveled to a Coronavirus “hot-spot” we will be happy to reschedule your appointment. If you believe that your pet has an urgent problem that requires immediate treatment, please call for instructions.

As a preventative measure and to adhere to the CDC’s “social distancing” recommendations, we are offering “Curbside” appointments.  We strongly recommend dropping off if you or a family member are at a higher risk of serious illness due to age or an underlying medical condition, are accompanied by small children, or have concerns about exposure while at our facility.

After evaluating our current processes a few adjustments have been made to facilitate the practice of social distancing.

  • At this time we are not allowing clients to enter the building. Only staff members are able to enter the clinic.
  • When arriving for an appointment, we ask that you call the clinic to alert the staff. A staff member will then greet you at your vehicle and borrow your pet for the appointment while you remain in your vehicle. The doctor will then discuss your pet’s history, exam findings and recommendations with you by phone to minimize any possible exposure.
  • Clients need to be at least 6 feet away from our employees and other clients while outside of the facility.
  • Clients and patients that have established care with a veterinarian in our practice and have been seen within the last 6 months may submit requests to have their pets evaluated via telemedicine. Clients may email photos, videos and inquiries surrounding the nature of the patient’s condition. Please be aware that there are some conditions that cannot be evaluated and treated via telemedicine (lumps, growths, acute sickness etc.)

As this situation remains dynamic, we will continue to provide updates if there are any additional changes to our daily operations. If you have any questions, please call us at 803-790-7297 or email us at info@fourpawsanimalclinic.com.

What our Clients Say

I have been a client of Dr. Wales for nearly 15 years. She and her caring staff have taken amazing care of my pets over the years and seen them through their puppy years to elderly age. Despite having a large, busy practice, she always makes us feel like we are her priority. We have also done laser and acupuncture therapies with Dr. Gardner and adore her gentle, loving approach. Dr. Warren has also helped us from time to time, and she is an incredible source of wisdom and reason. The entire Four Paws staff is top rate. I can’t say enough good things about their team and the care they provide. They really do love you and your pets like family. Five stars!

Beverly Steinhaus

Wonderful experience having my two small dogs teeth cleaned. The staff was so efficient and extremely kind. The Dr calls with updates and took a lot of time answering questions. I will never go anywhere else. Best in town.

Robin Gottlieb

We are so thankful for Dr. Moore and the staff at Four Paws. Everyone was compassionate, loving and caring for our furry family member. Thankful we found an animal clinic with all these wonderful qualities.

Wendy Early

You won’t find a more caring and compassionate group of vets to care for your four legged animals. For over 6 years, Dr. Warren has been taking care of my dogs for years and I have (and will continue to) recommended every animal owner I know to trust Four Paws for any and all of their fur babies’ health and wellness needs.

Jennifer Obriant

I LOVE this vet clinic & the staff. Best in the world. Hands down!

Meg Ellis

You know you have picked the right clinic and veterinarian when your veterinarian calls you at 6:30p on Friday evening! Thank you Dr Maloney for a great first visit!

Cheryl Anderson

The most awesome vet clinic around. Very compassionate and so sweet to my babies. I just lost my Frenchie and they handled everything for us. We also received the sweetest card. They actually knew him so well, he wasn’t just a patient. Dr. Wales and Dr. Gardner are definitely gems. You won’t find another vet office like this one.
